Sheep to Clothing

We are excited to celebrate our Amish heritage with our first event of the year. Join us for the fascinating process behind spinning wool fibers into thread on a spinning wheel from 1864. Learn about pioneer clothing and engage in the following spinning activities and techniques: sheep shearing, wool washing and dying with organic dyes, loom weaving, spinning wheel demonstrations and quilt piecing. Don't forget to bring the kiddos, we have a petting zoo just for them!

We will start with a pancake breakfast full of fluffy pancakes, real maple syrup, and local liverwurst sausage at 7am.

Demonstrations will start at 9am.

A lunch of pork chop sandwiches, chicken salad, and hot dogs along with other goodies will start at 11am. Come hungry!!!
